Edge Deletion Algorithms for Minimizing Spread in SIR Epidemic Models

چکیده

This paper studies algorithmic strategies to effectively reduce the number of infections in susceptible-infected-recovered (SIR) epidemic models. We consider a Markov chain SIR model and its two instantiations deterministic (D-SIR) independent cascade (IC-SIR) model. investigate problem minimizing by restricting contacts under realistic constraints. Under moderate assumptions on reproduction number, we prove that infection numbers are bounded supermodular functions D-SIR IC-SIR for large classes random networks. propose efficient algorithms with approximation guarantees minimize infections. The theoretical results illustrated numerical simulations.

Global stability for a class of discrete SIR epidemic models.

In this paper, we propose a class of discrete SIR epidemic models which are derived from SIR epidemic models with distributed delays by using a variation of the backward Euler method. Applying a Lyapunov functional technique, it is shown that the global dynamics of each discrete SIR epidemic model are fully determined by a single threshold parameter and the effect of discrete time delays are ha...

Mechanistic movement models to understand epidemic spread.

An overlooked aspect of disease ecology is considering how and why animals come into contact with one and other resulting in disease transmission. Mathematical models of disease spread frequently assume mass-action transmission, justified by stating that susceptible and infectious hosts mix readily, and foregoing any detailed description of host movement. Numerous recent studies have recorded, ...

A comparison of delayed SIR and SEIR epidemic models

Abstract. In epidemiological research literatures, a latent or incubation period can be medelled by incorporating it as a delay effect (delayed SIR models), or by introducing an exposed class (SEIR models). In this paper we propose a comparison of a delayed SIR model and its corresponding SEIR model in terms of local stability. Also some numerical simulations are given to illustrate the theoret...

Dynamical Analysis of SIR Epidemic Models with Distributed Delay

SIR epidemic models with distributed delay are proposed. Firstly, the dynamical behaviors of the model without vaccination are studied. Using the Jacobian matrix, the stability of the equilibrium points of the system without vaccination is analyzed. The basic reproduction number R is got. In order to study the important role of vaccination to prevent diseases, the model with distributed delay u...

Some discrete-time SI, SIR, and SIS epidemic models.

Discrete-time models, or difference equations, of some well-known SI, SIR, and SIS epidemic models are considered. The discrete-time SI and SIR models give rise to systems of nonlinear difference equations that are similar in behavior to their continuous analogues under the natural restriction that solutions to the discrete-time models be positive. It is important that the entire system be cons...
